Who Should Use This BookThis manual is for engineers and technical professionals, who need to use the N1 Grid Engine 6.1 software. Also, you should understand the concepts in this book if you are responsible for administering the system of networked computer hosts that run the N1 Grid Engine 6.1 software. How This Book Is OrganizedChapter 1, Introduction to the N1TM Grid Engine 6.1 Software describes the concepts and major components of the N1 Grid Engine 6.1 software. This chapter also includes a summary of user commands, and introduces the QMON graphical user interface. Chapter 2, Navigating the Grid Engine System describes how to display information about components of the system of networked computer hosts that run the N1 Grid Engine 6.1 software such as users, queues, hosts, and job attributes.
