Demo version

A demo version of StarOffice 8 Server - PDF Converter can be provided by request from your Sun Sales representative, or from SoftVision Development GmbH (www.soconverter.com). The demo product is functionally identical to the full version, with one exception: Every generated PDF page in every converted document shows a watermark containing the word DEMO in bold letters. There is no way to convert the demo product into a fully functional version. The demo product has an own installation set and is delivered on an own CD. Technically, the demo product is a complete product, totally different from the full version.

Issues with JAX-RPC

On the client side, use JAX-WS. Starting with StarOffice 8 Server - PDF Converter Update 10, JAX-RPC is no longer supported. There are several severe known issues with JAX-RPC.
