Chapter 1 Solaris 10 6/06 Operating System Packages

This book lists the Solaris 10 6/06 Operating System and languages packages.

This first chapter lists and describes the packages included in the Solaris 10 6/06 Operating System (Solaris OS). The chapter begins with a summary of the changes to packages that have been made in this release. Then, two tables list all packages for each software groups.

• Solaris 10 6/06 OS Packages for SPARC Based Systems lists and describes the packages in the Solaris 10 6/06 software for SPARC based systems.

• Solaris 10 6/06 OS Packages for x86 Based Systems lists and describes the packages in the Solaris 10 6/06 software for x86 based systems.
