Preface

The Sun N1^TM System Manager Command Line Reference Manual includes the same information that is provided by the n1sh help command, in either interactive or non-interactive mode. Use this book as a reference for all the commands available for the N1 System Manager.

Who Should Use This Book

This guide is intended for system administrators who are responsible for managing provisionable servers running the N1 System Manager software. The system administrators are expected to have the following background:

• Knowledge of Linux and Solaris^TM operating systems, and the network administration tools provided by each operating system

• Knowledge of network equipment and network devices from a variety of vendors such as Sun Microsystems and Cisco

• Knowledge of network device interconnections and cabling

The following table describes the typographic conventions that are used in this book.
