Chapter 12 Configuring Channel Definitions

This chapter describes how to use channel keyword definitions in the MTA configuration file imta.cnf. Please read Chapter 10, About MTA Services and Configuration, as well as 8.5.3 Channel Definitions and 10.2 The MTA Configuration File before reading this chapter. This chapter contains the following sections:


Note –

If you make channel definition changes in imta.cnf, you must restart any programs or channels that load the configuration data only once when they start up—for example, the SMTP server—by using the imsimta restart command. If you are using a compiled configuration, you must recompile and then restart. For more information about compiling configuration information and starting programs, see the Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.3 Administration Reference.
