This guide is a starting point for developers who need information about using the various APIs and programming technologies that are supported by Sun Java^TM System Web Server 7.0. The guide summarizes the APIs, and provides information about configuring your server to work with server-side HTML tags and CGI programs.

The intended audience for this guide is the person who develops, assembles, and deploys web applications in a corporate enterprise.

Web Server can be installed as a standalone product or as a component of Sun Java Enterprise System (Java ES), a software infrastructure that supports enterprise applications distributed across a network or Internet environment.
