This book describes the floating-point environment supported by software and
hardware on SPARC[tm] and x86 platforms running the Solaris[tm] operating
environment. This manual discusses certain aspects of the IEEE Standard for Binary
Floating-Point Arithmetic, the math libraries provided with the Solaris
operating environment and Sun WorkShop[tm] compilers, and exceptions and exception
handling. Fortran and ANSI C examples are provided.
