The Solaris 7 Installation Supplement provides instructions on how to install or upgrade to the Solaris^TM 7 11/99 operating environment and how to use new installation features in the Solaris 7 11/99, 8/99, 5/99, and 3/99 operating environments.

Refer to those materials for hardware-specific installation instructions.

What Typographic Conventions Mean

The following table describes the typographic changes used in this book.

Table P-1 Typographic Conventions

AaBbCc123	The names of commands, files, and directories; on-screen computer output	Edit your .login file. Use ls -a to list all files. machine_name% you have mail.
