DESCRIPTION

arraymon is the disk array daemon process. It performs these major functions:

- Monitoring of the error information maintained by the disk array controllers.
- Reporting of events that require operator attention in a manner selected by the user via the rmparams file and the rmscript file.
- Launching of the parityck utility at the designated time, if the parity check option is enabled.
FILES

arraymon maintains logs of the messages currently outstanding on the system console and in the file /etc/raid/rmlog.log. In addition, all error information is written to the system error log /var/adm/messages ).
EXIT STATUS
- None - arraymon runs as a daemon process and never exits.
NOTES
-
arraymon is typically initiated when the system is booted and runs until the system is shut down.
